The assignment was to design a City Hall in a small town.
The architectural volume and the landscape design around the building encourages socializing, openness and transparency of a public function. With the main purpose of supporting the citizens it serves, the town hall building had to inspire this as being a receptive, friendly and an equitable space.
Due to the different angles and intersections of the building’s volumes, the passer-by can observe from any angle several different facades at the same time, thus emphasizing the noble character of such a function, as well as its adaptability quality.
STUDIO STATEMENT
BIOSCALE STUDIO is an interdisciplinary human conscious architecture and branding studio. With our human-centered design philosophy, we focus on developing green & energy efficient architectural projects for a conscious society as well as brand strategies, identities and brand assets for sustainable, up-to-date brands. We believe that good design can have a positive impact on the world around us.
We create architectural and branding assets in touch with the world, while promoting sustainable lifestyles and business models. Working with a range of clients, from private homeowners to eco-friendly businesses, entrepreneurs and leaders, we are able to passionately create projects that nurture the people who interact with them and the ecosystems they are part of.
